One of the most repeated "facts" about the Great Wall of China isn't true — astronauts have confirmed you basically can't see it with the naked eye from orbit.

A widely repeated claim holds that the Great Wall of China is visible from space, sometimes even described as the only human-made structure visible from the Moon. Multiple astronauts, including from both NASA and China's own space program, have directly and repeatedly confirmed this is false.
