Two green-skinned children reportedly wandered out of the ground into a medieval English village, speaking a language nobody understood.
According to two independent 12th-century chroniclers, a brother and sister with green-tinted skin appeared in the village of Woolpit, England, speaking an unknown language and refusing all food except raw beans. The boy died soon after; the girl eventually learned English and gave an account of where she claimed to have come from.
